One of our Barnsley Sales Executives, Simon Hegarty, has recently successfully completed the Disney Dopey Challenge with his wife Sally. The Dopey Challenge consists of a series of four runs over four consecutive days – 5k, 10k, half marathon and finally a full marathon. That’s a staggering 48.6 miles in total!
They choose to undertake this incredible feat in support of their close friend Hannah who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Simon and his wife wanted to do something to say thank you to those who are supporting Hannah and when they asked her who she would like money raised for she chose St Ann’s Hospice where Hannah has been receiving care. Hannah is fighting this terrible illness as hard as she can for one very good reason – her young daughter Amie. Now two and a half years old, the longer she fights, the more likely Amie will remember her mum.
Simon and his wife Sally raised over £1,000 for St Ann’s Hospice which is truly fantastic and on behalf of everyone at Burrows we’d like to congratulate them both on this fantastic achievement.
