A hard working vehicle needs a durable and reliable engine and the new Land Cruiser Commercial certainly has that covered.
It is powered by a trusty 2.8-litre D-4D turbo diesel engine which provides excellent power and is an extremely reliable unit. It is also mated to either a manual or automatic gearbox.
Opt for the manual transmission and CO2 emissions stand at 190g/km and the automatic transmission produces 194g/km of CO2 emissions.
The 2.8-litre engine produces 177bhp which helps power the Land Cruiser Utility over any terrain, however, muddy, wet or snowy.
It's also reassuring to know this engine can achieve a top speed of 108mph and will do 0-62mph in 12.1 seconds so it's certainly no slouch.
A combined fuel economy figure of 39.2mpg is also very impressive for a vehicle of this size. That's thanks to Toyota's advanced fuel efficiency technology.
This 2.8-litre engine features an electronically controlled, common-rail type fuel injection system which is extremely intelligent as it achieves higher pressure and more advanced injection pressure control.
