Back on the 6th March, Mazda revealed a new Mazda6 Tourer model at the famous Geneva Motor Show. Since then they have announced the UK pricing and specification for both the new Saloon and Tourer models.The new Mazda6 features an upgraded cabin, revised styling and enhanced technology, plus it sees the popular SKYACTIV-D 2.2-litre engine benefit from a power upgrade to 184ps.
The new Mazda6 Tourer and Saloon model will be priced from £23,045 to £32,795 and is available in four new grades: SE-L Nav+, SE-L LUX Nav, Sport Nav+ and GT Sport Nav+. Mazda's new 2.5-litre SKYACTIV-G engine makes its UK debut in the 2018 Mazda6 Tourer and Saloon models. In a bid to improve fuel economy at no extra cost, the direct-injection four-cylinder engine switches between a four and a two-cylinder operation.

Not only does the new Mazda6 feature a new engine and new grade names, it has adopted a fresh new look. The mesh is positioned deeper within the grille to give it a more sophisticated look. The LED headlamps are integrated into the signature wing tips from the front grille surround to impersonate their predator style and the lower bumper has been revised to create a more aerodynamic efficient air intake. The Saloon model has a re-designed boot lid and both models feature a cleaner rear bumper styling. New alloy wheel designs are available and a new colour: Soul Red Crystal Paint. In comparison to the Soul Red Metallic Paint, the brightness has increased by approximately 20%.
Inside the new Mazda6, new materials been introduced and combined to deliver a feel of luxury. Across the range, new additions include: a larger 8-inch centre display screen, a 7-inch TFT LCD positioned in the driver's instrument binnacle and the adoption of a full-colour windscreen projecting Active Driving Display. The range topping GT Sport Nav+ features a Mazda signature interior finish: real Sen Wood trim, Brown Nappa leather and suede.
