Toyota have teased us with what will become the most powerful RAV4 yet - the new RAV4 Plug-in.
The new RAV4 Plug-in made its world debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show on 20th November and this is the first plug-in hybrid version of the SUV after 20 years of Toyota experience in hybrid powertrain technology.
With the experience of developing two generation of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid model, Toyota are well-equipped to produce an impressive new powertrain for RAV4.
With full system output of 302bhp/ 225kW* it has the potential to deliver acceleration from 0-62mph in just 6.2 seconds* and CO2 emissions of less than 30g/km*. The high-capacity lithium-ion battery is set to deliver more than 37 miles (60km)* in EV electric driving.
The New RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid will be introduced in the second half of 2020 with on-sale dates to be determined according the country.
