The All New RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid made its world debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show on 20th November and this is the first plug-in hybrid version of the SUV after 20 years of Toyota experience in hybrid powertrain technology.
With the experience of developing two generation of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid model, Toyota are well-equipped to produce an impressive new powertrain for RAV4.
Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are sharply improved. Homologated WLTP data indicates 282.5mpg and 22g/km respectively and has the potential to deliver acceleration from 0-62mph in just 6 seconds (2.1 seconds faster than the RAV4 Hybrid). A fully charged RAV4 Plug-in is indicated to be able to cover 46.6 miles on the WLTP cycle with no fuel consumption or tailpipe emissions.
The All New RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid will be introduced during the second half of 2020, with start of sales commencing in early 2021.
