Four new Toyota models have made their debuts at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show - the Corolla GR Sport, the Corolla Trek, the GR Supra GT4 Concept and the 2019 Prius with new AWD-i.

Corolla GR Sport

The Corolla GR Sport features the characteristic of the Toyota Gazoo Racing spirit which helps to develop the dynamic looks and driving capabilities further. The Corolla GR Sport will be available in both a Hatchback and a Touring Sports models and in a choice of 1.8 or a 2.0-litre self-charging petrol hybrid engine. The new distinctive styling elements include: a new front grille with dark chrome finish, lower skirts, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, front fog lights, LED headlights and an exclusive Dynamic Grey bi-tone paint finish. Inside the Corolla GR Sport, the cabin features black cloth upholstery sports seats with leather-effect bolsters – full leather upholstery can be selected as an option.

The Corolla GR Sport will go on sale in Europe in January 2020. Details of UK availability and specifications will be announced later.

Corolla Trek

The Corolla Trek creates a more rugged, crossover styling for the Touring Sports model and is designed to appeal to those who love the outdoors – it is a collaboration between Toyota and Trek Bicycles. The Corolla Trek will be available in a 1.8 or 2.0-litre self-charging petrol hybrid engine. It benefits from a 20mm increase in ride height and features front and rear under-runs, 17-inch machined alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, front fog lights and LED headlights. Inside the Corolla Trek, there is a seven-inch TFT infotainment screen, two-tone cloth upholstery and matching wood trim details.

The Corolla Trek will go on sale in August 2019. Details of UK availability will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

GR Supra GT4 Concept

This concept model has been developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing as a competitive machine for international GT4 racing. Toyota Gazoo Racing will evaluate the interest shown in the Supra GT4 Concept by potential customers before deciding on future development of the vehicle.


2019 Prius with new AWD-i

The Prius has been a leader since its launch back in 1997 in technical innovation, progress in efficiency, refinements and driving pleasure within its four generations. The 2019 Prius will be the first Toyota model to benefit from Hybrid AWD-i. This is a new, intelligent electric all-wheel drive system that provides a more sure-footed handling and peace-of-mind driving.

Additional styling, technology and performance improvements have been made to the world's most popular self-charging hybrid car.

The exterior styling on the front and the rear of the new Toyota Prius gives the model a cleaner and sleeker look. The new slim and sharp headlight units feature a new bi-beam LED lighting that produces a wider field of illumination. There will also be two new strong body colours to choose from: Emotional Red and Aqua Breeze. Not only that, there will be a new 17-inch alloy wheel design and a new contrast dark grey finish for the 15-inch wheelcaps.

Revisions to the equipment specifications have been made which include: an larger wireless charging tray for smartphones, turn-by-turn navigation directions added to the head-up display functionality and a multimedia Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen that offers a faster response and can be operated using 'pinch and flick' gestures familiar from smartphone use.
