Vehicle Health Check

Carried out by one of our qualified Vehicle Technicians, a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) is a check of your vehicle’s components for £15. During this check, our technician will inspect your vehicle for any wear and tear that could post a future safety issue and inform you if anything needs urgent attention.

What does a Vehicle Health Check include?

We will check the following on your vehicle to help maintain safety and performance:

  • Tyre pressures
  • Tyre depths to ensure that they are legal
  • Screen wash levels
  • Front and rear lights
  • Battery test
  • Engine oil level
  • Coolant level
  • Windscreen
  • Seatbelts

We will also update and report on your next Service and MOT due dates.

What do the colours mean on my health check report?

The colours on your Vehicle Health Check report typically indicate the condition of various components of your vehicle and whether any action is needed. Here are the guidelines for what the colours mean:

Green:

  • Condition: Good
  • Action: No immediate action is required
  • Meaning: The component is functioning well and does not need any attention at this time

Amber:

  • Condition: Fair
  • Action: May need attention soon
  • Meaning: The component is showing signs of wear or minor issues that could develop into bigger problems if not addressed. It is advisable to monitor the situation and plan for maintenance or repairs in the near future

Red:

  • Condition: Poor
  • Action: Immediate action required
  • Meaning: The component is in poor condition or has a significant issue which we advise repairing

If any components are identified as amber or red, our Aftersales Advisor will provide you with the Vehicle Technician’s advice and recommendation for next steps.
