As a family-owned enterprise, Burrows Motor Company has established a significant presence across multiple locations, including Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, York and Worksop.

Our history

The journey of Burrows Motor Company began in June 1999, when Steve Burrows acquired his first Toyota dealership in Riverside Way, Rotherham. The subsequent years have seen remarkable growth and expansion.

• December 1999 – Steve takes over his second Toyota dealership in Barnsley on Barugh Green Road.
• October 2003 – Our Toyota dealership in Hatfield, Doncaster became the third member of the Burrows family.
• January 2006 – The fourth Burrows Toyota dealership in South Yorkshire opens on Penistone Road in Sheffield.
• March 2006 – The home of Toyota in Doncaster moves to Quest Park on Wheatley Hall Road.
• August 2011 – We acquired a dedicated Business Centre next to the Toyota dealership in Barnsley.
• November 2013 – Burrows Motor Company branches out in Barnsley to represent the Kia brand.
• October 2014 – We acquired our first Mazda dealership in Sheffield.
• June 2017 – Burrows Mint Cars in Sheffield becomes our first prestige used car dealership.
• May 2018 – We’re delighted to welcome the Toyota Worksop dealership into the Burrows family.
• November 2018 – We acquired our second Mazda dealership at Heworth in York.
• March 2021 – Steve’s hometown of Wickersley, Rotherham becomes the location for our relocated Riverside Way Toyota dealership.
