Introducing the third GR model

The All New Toyota GR 86 has made its world debut and becomes the third Toyota model to bare the GR badge, following the GR Supra and GR Yaris.

This All New model builds on the essential fun-to-drive characteristics the original GT86 possessed and pushes to boundaries even further with more power and a lighter body. In fact, the All New Toyota GR 86 is expected to be the lightest four-seater coupe in its class thanks to clever weight saving initiatives such as aluminium body and roof panels.

The All New GR 86 is powered by a brand new 2.4-litre lightweight, four-cylinder engine which means performance is much improved over the GT86.

The GT86 was much praised for its agile handling so you'll be pleased to know the dimensions of the All New GR 86 are exactly the same as the GT86, allowing the new model to maintain a low centre of gravity. This coupled with a 50 per cent increase in torsional rigidity means the GR 86's handling will be even sharper than the GT86.

Handling and stability are further improved thanks to the development of functioning aerodynamic components, such as the side rocker panels and front air ducts.
