What is the Motability Scheme?

Here at Burrows Motor Company, we are committed to delivering the best driving experience for everyone. The Motability Scheme is designed to help disabled people to get mobile by simply exchanging all, or part of their motability allowance to lease a brand new car.

Benefits of joining the Motability Scheme

The peace of mind and motoring offered through the Motability Scheme means that you can lease a brand new car every three years.

  • RSA Motability have arranged to give insurance protection for all cars that are leased through the Motability Scheme
  • The servicing for your car will be either at set times during your lease or when your car has driven a number of miles.
  • Your Motability Scheme car is covered by RAC Motability Assist for breakdown assistance throughout the whole of your lease.
  • Tyre repair and replacement, windscreen repair, MOTs and road tax
  • 60,000 mileage allowance for over three years or 100,000 over five years for WAVs

You can have up to two named drivers as part of your lease - these can be yourself, friends, family or carers (a third can be added at an additional cost).

Included as part of your worry-free package is the cost of each service and any maintenance repairs (due to general wear).

You can get a brand new Toyota, Hyundai, Mazda, Kia, Fiat or Abarth every three years.

What isn't included on the Motability Scheme?

The scheme covers just about everything you need to keep mobile and on the road, but you will be responsible for the following:

  • The cost of the fuel
  • Optional extras that are not fitted by the manufacturer as standard
  • In the event of an accident or insurance claim you will be responsible for the insurance excess
  • Speeding and Parking fines remain the responsibility of the driver
  • Theft or damage to personal belongings
