Meet the all-new Corolla Saloon

Say hello to the all-new Toyota Corolla Saloon! Earlier this year it was announced that the Toyota Corolla name was making a come back (replacing the Auris name) by presenting the British-built Hatchback and Touring Sports models at the Geneva and Paris motor shows.

All three new Toyota Corolla models will be return to the UK roads during the first quarter of 2019 after being replaced with the Auris name. The Saloon model stands out from the Hatchback and Touring Sports with a different front and rear styling that projects a more prestigious and unique look.

Inside, the Saloon model is pretty much identical to the other members of the new Corolla family. The spacious cabin is packed with high sensory quality and advanced technologies. The Saloon also has the same wheelbase length as the Touring Sports (2,700mm - a 61mm extra than the Hatchback) so there is plenty of legroom and comfort for rear-seat passengers.

According to the market, the new Saloon will be available with two powertrain options: a 120bhp 1.8-litre hybrid and a 130bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine that is available in a six-speed manual or a CVT transmission.

The new Corolla Saloon benefits from the latest Toyota Safety Sense systems, these include: Pre-Collision System, Full-range Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with steering assist, Road Sign Assist and Automatic High Beam.

In addition, a new Lane Tracing Assist system is introduced, giving the driver even more support. When the full-range Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist are active, the system makes subtle steering inputs to keep the vehicle centred in its traffic lane, even through gentle highway bends.
