Back in 2016 we teamed up with Gaia Innovation Ltd. to launch the apprenticeship programme: Burrows Search for a Star. From this we visited schools and academies across South Yorkshire to reach out to young individuals to open the door to an apprenticeship within Burrows Motor Company. Towards the end of the programme in September 2017, we offered 31% of apprenticeships to females across our group - hiring a total of 18 new apprentices!

This year we are aiming to do just as well! The first stage of the Burrows Search for a Star scheme is attending a dealership open evening where you have the chance to learn more about Toyota (with guests from Toyota UK Academy), Burrows Motor Company and the chance to speak to our current apprentices and staff members about the working life at Burrows.
The next stage of our apprenticeship scheme is to invite the students from the dealership event who are still interested in working within the motor industry to a Employability Skills Training Day. This day will involve half a day of training on skills and mock interviews before being interviewed by a Burrows personnel within the department you are wanting to start an apprenticeship in at Burrows.
