Diagnostic Vehicle Technician - Mint Cars

We are looking for a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our team at our Mint Cars dealership in Sheffield on Rother Valley Way.

What are the day to day duties?

• Conduct routing maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks to ensure the vehicle operates smoothly and efficiently
• Repair and replace defective parts, components and systems such as: brakes, engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and electrical systems
• Ensure manufacturer guidelines and specifications for repairs and maintenance procedures
• Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and specialised tools
• Adhere to all company Health and Safety legislation
• Communicate with Service Advisors to explain repair recommendations and address any concerns or questions
• Document all work performed, including parts used, labour hours and diagnostic findings, accurately using computer systems
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
• Collaborate with other technicians and service team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction

The successful candidate will receive full training.

You will have:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools, including engine performance, electrical, braking, and suspension systems
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and repair procedures to non-technical team members
• A full driving license, valid in the UK with no disqualifications
